SecureNetMD® CEO and co-founder Jack Berberian was invited to Dover Air Force Base Wednesday, for a special Employer Breakfast put together by the veterans employment advocates Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).

The breakfast was to honor employers in the area who place a special focus on employing veterans, and was followed by a tour of the facility, after which Berberian, Secretary of Defense Ash Carter and ESGR National Chair, Paul Mock  signed a statement of support for the Guard and Reserve.

SecureNetMD employs a number of armed forces veterans, and was nominated for a 2016 ESGR Secretary of Defense Freedom Award, the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to employers for their outstanding support of employees serving in the Guard and Reserve.

The base is home to two airlift wings – he Air Force’s 436th and the Air Reserve’s 512th – responsible for operations, logistics, support, and medical groups for C-5 Galaxy and C-17 Globemaster III aircraft providing 25% of the nation’s worldwide movement of outsized cargo and personnel.

In related news, SecureNetMD will also be attending the “Kick Start Your Career” job fair June 22, sponsored by Delaware Joining Forces.  Active National Guard and Reserve members, and transitioning service members, between the ages of 18 and 30 are encouraged to attend, and over 20 employers will be on hand to accept resumes and meet potential candidates. Career workshops will also be scheduled for every 30 minutes.

The event is poised to help younger veterans – who struggle with finding jobs after their service is up and is from 9 a.m. to noon at the National Guard & Reserve Center in New Castle.
